Jack Ramos - Piety
Resources Management
Right after high school Jack spent 10 years in the
U.S. Navy. His training was in Electronic
Warfare. You know, "If I tell you what I
did, I'd have to kill you!" type work.
After his
time in the military, He found work with Brown &
Root, Inc. A subsidiary of Haliburton,
Inc.
After several years of working with them in
Charleston, SC, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and
finally in Florence, SC - like so many of us
today, Jack was laid off with 2 weeks notice. How
nice. Having just moved into a new house, a
new baby on the way and living in a low income
area of a low income state hadn't quite been in
his plans for success climbing the corporate
ladder.
So, he started his own business. Doing exactly
what he had done for Brown & Root, Inc. but
getting paid 5 times as much! After he was laid
off, he started his own computer consulting
business and went right back to work for Brown &
Root, Inc. as a contractor. How cool was that? |
|
As
an employee he made $15 per hour. Had to be in
the office by 7 am and did not leave until 7 or
8 pm every night, 6 days per week.
Then, as a self employed contractor, he was
getting paid $75 per hour, doing the same work
as before, coming and going when he felt like it,
and never worked on weekends again!
That was a great triumph in Jack's career. It felt
really great to him. That was 1994.
Now, 11 years later, Jack have refined his work
style even more. He has learned, through trial
and error, how to make a living on the internet
selling information products and services.
He
even runs a 2nd business selling compatible toner
& inkjet products over then internet.
